Classic Ride on Toys

ride on toysEvery kid loves ride on toys since they can provide hours of fun. In fact, ride on toys are a classic that have easily managed to remained popular for generations. For young children, these toys provide a well rounded play experience; allowing children to develop fine motor skills while encouraging active play. These toys also allow children to easily interact and socialize with other kids. When looking for riding toys for children, classic toys are just as much fun as trendy new toys on the market.

Bicycles are probably the most well known ride on toys around. Bikes allow children the chance to explore and help to improve balance and coordination. Plus they offer a great cardiovascular workout that the entire family can do together through bike rides, races and biking trails. Young children will love bikes featuring animated TV and movie characters. For older children, the bike should be in proportion to their current size so injuries are unlikely to occur. Tricycles are appropriate for toddlers and children not yet ready to ride on two wheels.

For a nice alternative to the traditional bike, the push scooter has reemerged in popularity. Push scooters feature a flat board, two small wheels and a handle that attaches to the base. For teenagers, push scooters have even become a popular alternative to skateboards and are often seen at skate parks. Three wheel scooters can be used for preschoolers and can be used to teach the basics of riding before moving on to a bicycle or tricycle.

Fun ride on toy cars, don’t have to feature pedals or wheels. Babies and children younger than 5 can have fun and with push cars. Push cars may feature working horns or other interactive elements to stimulate curiosity. Rocking horses and plush riding toys shaped like animals are also great options for toddlers.
